We collect information necessary to schedule, perform, and bill for our services, as well as to communicate with you and improve our business.

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Name, address, phone number, and email address
  • Payment and billing information (see Section 9)
  • Home access information, such as door codes, garage codes, lockbox locations, or alarm codes
  • Service preferences, special instructions, and "pet peeves" you share with our office
  • Information you submit through booking forms, phone calls, texts, or emails

3.2 Information Collected During Service

  • Photographs of cleaned areas (before/after), as described in Section 10
  • Notes from our cleaning team regarding service conditions, damage, or issues encountered
  • Feedback and reviews you provide about your service

3.3 Information Collected Automatically

We do not currently use website tracking tools, analytics software, or cookies that collect personal information on our Site. See Section 12 (Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies) for more detail. If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly.

3.4 Information from Third Parties

We use Jobber, a third-party scheduling and client management platform, to store client records, appointment history, communications, and photos. Payments are processed through Jobber Payments, which is powered by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number ourselves; it is held securely by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.

04

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Schedule, confirm, and manage cleaning appointments
  • Process payments and manage billing
  • Communicate with you about appointments, changes, or account matters via phone, email, or SMS
  • Provide access to and secure your property during scheduled services
  • Improve our services based on feedback and quality control
  • Market our services, including using before/after photos as described in Section 10 (unless you opt out)
  • Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations
05

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Jobber, our scheduling and client management software provider, which stores your client records, communications, and photos
  • Stripe, our payment processor, to process transactions
  • Our cleaning staff, limited to the information needed to perform the scheduled service (e.g., address, access instructions, special requests)
  • Subcontractors, where used to fulfill a service, subject to confidentiality expectations consistent with this policy
  • Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process
  • A successor business, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of company assets

We require any third party handling your information to maintain reasonable safeguards for its protection.

06

Home Access Information

Any access information you provide (keys, codes, lockbox locations, remote entry credentials) is:

  • Stored securely within our Jobber account, which is protected by login credentials and access controls
  • Accessible only to office staff and the specific cleaning team assigned to your service
  • Used solely for the purpose of providing your scheduled services
  • Never shared with third parties outside of the personnel needed to complete your service

You may request that we update or remove access information from your file at any time by contacting our office.

07

Payment Information

Payment is processed through Jobber Payments, powered by Stripe. When you provide a credit or debit card for payment:

  • Your card details are transmitted directly to Stripe's secure, PCI-compliant systems
  • We do not store complete card numbers on our own servers, and Jobber does not store your billing information locally
  • For recordkeeping and to help you identify a transaction, our Jobber account retains limited card details for payments processed through Jobber Payments — specifically, the card's last four digits and card brand (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) — which cannot be used on their own to reconstruct your full card number
  • Stripe may retain payment information in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable regulations
  • We retain records of transaction amounts, dates, and service history for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes
08

Photography Policy

8.1 Purpose

Cornerstone Cleaning takes before-and-after photographs of cleaned areas to document our work, support quality control, and, where consented, for marketing purposes such as our website, social media, and promotional materials.

8.2 Consent

By scheduling services with us, you provide implicit consent for our team to photograph cleaned areas. Our staff is trained to focus only on cleaning results and to avoid capturing personal belongings, mail, documents, screens, or other identifying information.

8.3 Storage

Photographs are stored securely within our Jobber account and are accessible to our office staff for quality control and to you, the client, through your Jobber client hub.

8.4 Opt-Out

If you prefer that we not photograph your home, or that photographs not be used for marketing, notify our office in writing before your scheduled service. You may opt out at any time without affecting the quality of service you receive.

09

Text Message and Email Communications

We send appointment confirmations, reminders, and service-related updates via SMS and email. By providing your phone number and email address, you consent to receive these communications.

  • You may opt out of SMS reminders by replying "STOP" to any text message
  • You may disable email notifications through your Jobber client hub settings
  • Opting out of reminders will not affect your ability to receive essential service communications required to fulfill your appointment
10

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We do not currently use cookies, web beacons, analytics software, or similar tracking technologies to collect personal information on our Site. Our Site is informational and does not require visitor tracking to function.

If we begin using cookies or other tracking technologies in the future — for example, to support site analytics — we will update this Privacy Policy to describe what is collected, why, and what choices you have, and we will post the revised policy with a new "Last Updated" date.

11

Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites, such as review platforms or social media pages, provided for your convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

12

Data Retention

We retain client information, service history, and photographs for as long as needed to:

  • Maintain your active service account
  • Comply with tax, accounting, and legal recordkeeping obligations (generally a minimum of three years)
  • Resolve disputes or enforce our agreements

If you cancel service with us, we may retain your records for a reasonable period afterward in case you return as a client or for legal and accounting purposes. You may request earlier deletion of your personal information as described in Section 13, subject to our recordkeeping obligations.

13

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your residency, you may have rights under applicable law (including the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, where it applies) to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal and contractual retention needs
  • Opt out of the use of your photographs for marketing
  • Opt out of SMS and/or email marketing or reminder communications

To exercise any of these rights, contact our designated privacy contact, RJ Peterson, using the information in Section 17. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.

14

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, including:

  • Storing client records and access information within Jobber's secure, access-controlled platform
  • Limiting access to home access details and personal information to staff who need it to perform services
  • Using Stripe's PCI-compliant systems for payment processing rather than storing full card data ourselves

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15

Children's Privacy

Our services and website are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.

16

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will post the updated policy on our Site with a new "Last Updated" date and, where changes are material, notify you by email.
